Contributing to global sustainability: Pursuing harmony with the earth
The Ajinomoto Group works with communities and customers to contribute to harmonious coexistence with the earth, in order to realize a sustainable “Recycling-Oriented Society.*1
As demand for human consumption has already exceeded the earth’s production capacity, sustainable production and consumption must be pursued to secure our daily lives and economic activities while keeping the global environment healthy. At Ajinomoto Fine-Techno Co., Inc., we pledge to develop and produce products with the aim of reducing the energy consumed in their production, consumption and use, contribute to the promotion of green energy use, systematically reduce the use of HFCs, and appropriately manage resource cycles, including waste, and chemical substances in order to achieve sustainable production and consumption under our quality, environmental, health and safety policies.
We started new initiatives in fiscal 2018, including participation in a Green Power Certification System*2and contribution to the spread of natural energy by using natural energy for the equivalent of 6 million kWh of the energy consumed in production annually.*3

We are aware of the impact that the chemical substances we work with have on the environment and workplace health and safety, and we endeavor to prevent environmental contamination and reduce risks.
